One small Cocker... Chester...

I am show bred so butter could never melt in my mouth...

Tried to get two Cresteds to play, Max and Dutchie.   No fun. They won't chase me.

My friend Beanie plays the best games. But I always win the prizes. Afterwards - a problem - where should I bury the trophies....

It was only a very small hole. Beanie started it last week - I just helped it along a little and my toy was safely hidden for later.

Hard work being a dog on holiday......

Summer Heat Wave

Older ladies Penny and Polly have struck up a good holiday friendship sharing a duvet in the shade..

April Volcano Alert!

L-R Toby the Cavalier 's owners stuck in Thailand,  Aggie the Goldie's owners never made the outward trip,  Sam the Lab's owners managed to get back by coach,  Angus the ESS ' owners stuck in Hong Kong and Cooper the Gordon Setter was collected on time - phew

The dogs were deeply troubled to learn that their owner's holidays were going askew (doesn't look like it!!)

Angus (ESS), Cooper (Gordon Setter) and our own Smudge (Cocker) on the right

To take their minds off the problem they played in the paddock or slept in the sun...

No spoiling of terriers allowed whatsoever... unless they're called Algy...

...or Foxy  -   this is his favourite place on a furry bean bag in the sunniest corner of the patio

Some pets are really stressed when left at even the best Boarding Kennels. How about an alternative in beautiful rural Hampshire Perhaps we could offer holiday care as a member of the family?

Your dog can lie curled up on a beanbag by the Aga, stretch out sun bathing on the lawn or under a shady tree. The back door stays open so that he or she can choose to be indoors or scamper around the large garden chasing everything from balls to butterflies. There is often a child or two to play with and always plenty of toys, tripe sticks or fresh marrow bones to choose from.

Our Papillons, Cavalier King Charles and Chinese Crested live in the kitchen and are there to welcome all ages  -   VERY VERY LOUDLY.... ( sorry)

Depending on the guests, the place resembles anything from a St Trinians College day trip led by Moss, to a Derby & Joan Convention or even (heaven forbid) a Club 18 - 30 Resort. You tell me what makes your pet feel most comfortable. I can provide a taxi service for your pet to and from home and my regular "guests" always look forward to visiting their little but noisy pals at this Country Club for Canines. Whether the stay is for several weeks or a single day..  all owners become friends of the family and collections and deliveries can often turn into social occasions! Especially on a sunny summers day on the patio with a bottle of wine...

L-R Molly, Zara and Louis the older Paps -  Percy and Lilley watching TV with mum, and then... the mighty Mossman!

Parents can go on their holidays safe in the knowledge that their babies are in the best hands...  although they can come home a bit muddy (ahem)

Lochie hates it here... look at her smiling in the snow     Mols is in seventh heaven aka a muddy stream

All my little dogs are crated at night - there would be mayhem and carnage
every morning if I didn't...

When you've arranged a time to drop off or collect your pet...
...please do your best to stick to it as other holiday dogs, for their own safety, have to be kept indoors.

IS YOUR DOG MICROCHIPPED?
Please notify your microchip company that your dog is with me during your holiday. Not that I intend losing your dog... if someone accidentally leaves a gate open we need to get your dog back HERE.
There would no point phoning your home number while you're away.

I am really very sorry but, due to almost being lynched by the family on more than a few occasions,
I will be keeping my weekends, Bank Holidays and evenings free of doggie time constraints so....
no more pre-booking of these days for the collection or delivery of pets.

Senior Citizens (Marley and Jess) get extra fuss..

On the odd occasion that we manage to squeeze in a few days away.. I have a wonderful local lady that take care of my dogs. Mrs Nina Byles MBE can either move into the house full time or just help me out during the day. Nina is an International Show Judge, her greatest passion being Dalmations... although a little English Springer has recently taken up residence with her and husband Sim. Nina spent many years with Ted Edgar's show jumping yard so a big stroppy dog pulling on a lead is very easily managed. Nina used to travel all over the UK but no longer strays far from home...

Nina sits with sleepy Finty - glass of wine in hand.... This is definitely THE life!

And at the festive Yuletide????

I am closed to humans this year between Thursday 23rd December 2010 and Tuesday 4th January 2011 (except for Wednesday morning 29th)
